Hi

My name is Katrin Bischofberger and I am a birth doula based in Winterthur. Serving mothers in Winterthur, Zürich and surroundings. I speak Swiss (German), English and Spanish.

My aims:

. to help you prepare for birth

. to give you the confidence to achieve a positive birth experience

. to support your choices whatever they may be

. to provide continuity of care and a constant and familiar face throughout the ante natal, labour & birth process

. to give you emotional, physical & practical support

. to reassure your partner and help them to feel confident in supporting you

I live in the old town with my husband and young son Thiago (born in 2018). I started my working life in the Private Banking sector and worked as a Funeral Manager before becoming a mother. Being pregnant and giving birth for the first time had a profound effect on me and since then I have felt a strong desire to help other women achieve their own empowering, positive birth experiences.

Alongside my doula work, I am a holistic and grief Counselor.

Birth Package

My birth package includes:

. A free initial consultation to discuss how I can best support you. An opportunity to see how we all get on and ask any questions

. A chance to debrief any previous birth experiences

. Unlimited contact via phone/whatsApp/email throughout your pregnancy to answer any questions or concerns you may have

. Two ante natal sessions in my office or in the comfort of your home to go through ideas, offer information, tools and practicalities

. Help formulating a birth plan

. 24h seven days a week “on-call” period from weeks 38-42 of your pregnancy

. Continuous emotional and physical support through labour and birth

. 1-2 post natal visits to check on the new family and an opportunity to talk through your birth and answer any questions.
